Camden-Boone Coat Hanger 117-001 - Chrome Steel - Anti-Theft Ball Top - Extra Heavy Duty - Package of 8

Camden-Boone's extra heavy duty coat hanger 117-001 is an anti-theft ball-top design made of chrome plated 3/16" steel.  The ball-top design helps people remember that your nice coat hanger is not their new coat hanger.

These hangers are designed for heavy use.  Can they be bent?  Certainly, but you have to intend to do so.  You can damage cinder blocks if you work at it.  But, if one of these breaks in normal use, we'll replace it free. Yes, we consider firehouse bunker gear and wetsuits to be normal use. Your heavy winter coat isn't going to faze this coat hanger.

The steel allows a more slender profile than thicker wood or commercial plastic coat hangers, allowing you to put more hangers in the same space. 

Please note: The ball-top design requires a hanger rod receptacle to be attached to the coat rod.  These receptacles are an additional cost.  You can either purchase them with the coat hanger or separately.  Or if you already have some receptacles, you can get the hanger alone.  Be aware that not every ball-top coat hanger fits every ball-top receptacle on the market.  If you have existing receptacles from a different manufacturer, you may want to contact us before purchasing to be certain our hangers are going to fit.  No sense wasting your time or money on returns.

Why are there three different types of hanger receptacles?  Because everyone's situation is different.  Model A snaps on existing coat rods and closes permanently but allows sliding on coat rods up to 1-3/8" diameter.  Model B is attached over the end of the coat rod and only fits rods up to 1" in diameter.  These are for folks who like their coat hangers neatly spaced apart.  Model C goes over the end of the coat rod and slides freely on coat rods up to 1-1/2" in diameter.  For even more information on these receptacles, please see the 118-000 page where they're discussed in great detail.

There are three head options for this series of coat hangers: the 117-001 ball-top pictured here for use with A,B, or C hanger rod receptacles, an anti-theft closed loop, and a standard open hook.
