Peter Pepper GB Clear Glass Dry Erase Boards
A Peter Pepper glass dry erase board from the GB Clear series requires you to make a few decisions to determine if this series is the right one for your application.
The first decision: do you want Clear or Starphire glass? This is the section covering Clear Glass. Clear laminated glass has a slight green tint, most noticeable at the edges. Starphire low-iron glass has much less of a tint, but still has a bit, especially in larger sizes. In both cases, the glass is 1/4” thick with a white interlayer. Corners have a 1/4" radius with pencil-polished edges.
Next, magnet compatible surface or not? If you need a magnetic surface, select Starphire. These Clear models are not magnetic. Starphire magnet compatible surfaces come with five rare earth magnets. Additional magnets can be ordered in sets of five.
Finally, do you want a concealed mount or stand-off wall mount? The concealed mount is the classic, using a wall cleat and bracket arrangement. The stand-off mount system presents a more contemporary look. Stand-off mounts are 1” diameter and 1-1/4” deep. The glass surface is inserted into the mounts’ notches and tightened with set-screws. An aluminum disc conceals the fasteners. Both this Clear version and the Starphire models can be specified with either the standard concealed mount or the optional stand-off mount style. Note that the concealed mount uses a pen rail which is attached to the board itself while the stand-off mount separates the board from the pen rail.
